Betta fish family

The betta fish belongs to the family Osphronemidae, which is commonly known as the gourami family. This family includes various species of labyrinth fish, which are known for their unique labyrinth organ that allows them to breathe atmospheric air in addition to extracting oxygen from the water. The betta fish (Betta splendens) is a popular member of this family and is known for its vibrant colors and long, flowing fins.
